Despite the global success of COVID vaccines, disease burden remains high among immunocompromised individuals and others at risk of severe disease. Therapeutic antibodies are an important alternative option, but resistance has developed owing to the emergence of viral variants. A new paper in Cell reports the development of an antibody with broad and potent SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing activity, which could bolster the COVID therapeutic toolbox.
